Who is parking in the transportation lot on campus?

The parking lot on the Linda Vista Campus behind the Peters Family Building (Bldg. A) is assigned parking for faculty and staff. After conducting an in-house security audit of the parking lot, taking into account the bus activity and student loading and unloading that takes place throughout the day, it was advised that we not have additional traffic driving through the lot to look for available parking. Those assigned to park in this lot include employees with approved medical accommodations, those whose job description requires them to serve both campuses, and for student safety reasons, faculty and staff whose children ride the intercampus shuttle. For the first few months of construction, we also have six students parking in this lot whose parking spaces in the surface lot near the athletics field were displaced by a second construction trailer that will be on campus until the spring. Once that trailer is removed from the work site, the School will reevaluate the use of those six parking spaces.

To be clear, only those assigned to park in the parking lot behind the Peters Family Building (Bldg. A) will have access to the lot at this time.

Reminders for those assigned to park in this lot:

• Those assigned to this parking lot may enter the lot at any time during the morning. It is preferred that you enter prior to 7:45 am, or after 8:30 am to avoid the morning bus traffic.
• Those assigned to parking spaces numbered 23-35 must move their car by 4:15 pm so that the Parker buses can park for the evening.
• Please drive carefully whenever buses or students are present.
